The goal of the MBL
Internship was to blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.
Although eight weeks were not enough to fully comprehend the banking system,
the internship offered a chance to apply what was learned in class. As an
intern, various tasks were assigned in different departments, including filling
out forms, ATM distribution, and voucher filling. Internships are valuable for
students in Nepal where practical exposure is limited in their education.
MBL should prioritize
meeting customer needs and promptly resolving issues to stay competitive in the
market and retain existing customers by providing top-notch service. During the
internship, I observed the bank's strong emphasis on providing good customer
service. Customers choose MBL for its brand image, branch facilities, and
quality of service. However, there are opportunities for improvement in areas
such as deposit interest rates to reach their full potential as a leading
banking industry. To maintain customer satisfaction, the bank must continuously
make improvements.
MBL has a friendly
work environment with professional staff and a positive working relationship.
Working at MBL was a great opportunity to gain practical knowledge about the
banking sector in Nepal and will positively impact the intern's future career
and professional development. One of the main inferences Intern drew was the
importance of teamwork and communication in the banking industry. Intern
observed that the employees at the bank worked closely together to ensure that
all tasks were completed efficiently and effectively. This showed intern the
importance of being able to work well with others and communicate effectively
in any professional setting.
